Whilst light coloured drawing backgrounds are ok for a WYSIWYG, looking at white background all day is tiring, especially so with large flat monitors. Dark backgrounds are much easier on the eye. The legacy of working on black makes the use of yellow common place which when viewed in paperspace (left at its normal white background)makes for problems readinf a drawing - so much so that a lot of guys in this office now have black as a background in PS. Having the ability to flip the colours from the lighter palette to darker set as does white/black would be a usful improvement
