I was amused to see Shaan Hurley losing his locks at AU. Some of you may recall me suggesting this course of action a couple of years ago. How close do you think I got with my artist’s impression? Original images © 2008 and 2009 Shaan [...] Phil Read has, according to him, been re-admitted as an Autodesk University 2009 speaker. Yay! Is this a victory for people power? A victory for the blogosphere? I rather think it’s just a victory for common sense. I mentioned earlier that Autodesk University might be moving in time and/or space. It appears that it’s not moving in time at all, and is moving only slightly in space. Here is the AU 2009 date and location from the horse’s mouth. Time: 1 – 5 December 2009 Place: Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas No, I don’t mean it’s a deeply emotional experience, however true that may be for certain CAD geeks (who will remain nameless to protect the dorky). I haven’t seen AutoCAD 2010…
…yet.
That means I’m free to speculate about it in public. There have already been a few hints dropped here and there. Stronger 3D, parametric 3D? Does that just mean adding the missing 3rd dimension to dynamic blocks, or more? What else?
